Following this week’s unsurprising announcement that the NL Season has now concluded, we took the opportunity to again update our members on a couple of items.

We have now provided some options to the club for consideration which would allow us to directly help whilst still falling under the constitutional aims of HUST for involvement of fans. As you will appreciate, this is not likely to be a quick process, especially as there is no clear picture on when the 20/21 season may be able to start, but we will provide updates as soon as we can. We note that no investment can be made on behalf of HUST without majority approval of members.

On Monday 20th April HUST Chairman Richard Ward attended the latest Fans Forum and you can read the minutes from the meeting on our website here. Club CEO Mark Maguire confirmed that Mr Singh has invested significantly more heavily than he had initially expected and reducing costs next season is necessary to ensure the club is run at a level at which he is comfortable. As a result, for the coming season the club will look to recruit fan volunteers to actively support the club both during the week and on match days, which is very common across non-league clubs. HUST have already started actively helping the club prepare for this and will continue to do so, and we hope as many supporters as possible will support the club in whichever way they can when next season finally commences.

The club are again holding a virtual match day lottery so we encourage as many as possible to enter this here.

Finally, a big thank you to all the former and new members who have signed up to support HUST since our last update. With many of you due for renewal soon then we hope that you will renew your membership and continue to support us. If you are aware of ex-members that may be interested in joining us again then please make them aware of our limited offer where they can sign up again without the joining fee here by using the discount code “RENEWAL”.
